army buddy - leong

feel obliged to write about this fellow since December 2006. we have known each other through army and kept in close contact every since. a week seldom goes by without either of us dropping each other an email or a phone call. the chemistry freak is now undergoing training in SWITZERLAND. just read about his 100th reaction. think he is enjoying himself there.

the two of us has come a long way, both literally and figuratively. he is one of the few buddies who i believe can and will walk beside me all the way . i cannot state an exact figure for the distance we covered, but i would give a rough estimate of around 350km to 400km. given that we live on an island that only stretches 42km from east to west, i consider that as a significant distance. ^^

since our ns days, leong has been a source of influence for me. he like to 说教 sometimes, but i can count on him to provide a listening ear when i need it (i still remember the night at east coast park). there are countless stories that are only funny when he is around to share it. it seems like he will never get sick of telling others about our brunei trip where his pimple burst or in taiwan where we shopped around the 夜市 for local delicacies or during our ord range where i stole his 'form'. i can spend half a night listing these stories.

i consider myself lucky to have a considerate family, a wife who tries really hard to be understanding towards me and of course a bunch of really good buddies. ^^ all my buddies has influenced me in one way or another, i hope to write about them in due time. this post is dedicated to my army buddy who i think will continue to be a bugging existence in this next chapter of my life. a positive, bugging existence.
